My foot gotten me out of a few PE assignments back in elementary too. I remember we had to run 4 laps. One of the teachers noticed my weird foot while i was running and he pulled me out and asked what was wrong. I told him nothing, I’m fine and showed him how I could twist my foot. He told me not to run anymore. LOL I was like cool. The following year I think I got out of it again. Also one day in 4th grade my teacher noticed by foot after lunch. She didn’t tell me anything. She just told me out of no where to go to the nurses office and gave me a note she folded and taped closed. I peeked at the note while I walked over there just to see why I was being sent. It said problem with feet or something like that. I laughed as I walked. The nurse there took a look, asked my questions and called my mom. LOL my mom told them it was normal too. They almost sent me home that day.

Oh and in middle school! During PE all the guys knew about my foot so they asked if we can play a prank on the Sub. So we did they carried me with my twisted foot to the office during basketball and told the sub I feel over and twisted my foot. He freaked out and didn’t know what to do. Then everyone started laughing and told him I was fine before he ran me to the nurses office. Good times.

So yeah in middle school the internet blew up with AOL and so I finally came up with a nickname for an email and stuff based off my foot.

So one day at school. I think this was 10th grade, we had this school wide event, the multi-cultural fair. All kinds of clubs had booths full of food and stuff to buy. One club had stuff to do! TEKKEN 3! It was the Anime Club. Nick and I jumped in to kick ass. There was this one guy named Hyke there owning everyone. So I got in next. There wasn’t any characters unlocked! So that meant no Julia, my best character. I had to settle for Xiaoyu, the one I was just learning to use with shoulder buttons. Before we started I went to the options to set the buttons, then everyone around started booing and said I was cheating. So I said fuck it and went without the shoulder buttons. It was like fighting with one hand tied behind my back. I got beat pretty bad and I was pissed because I knew it would of been a different story if I were able to use Julia. Then Hyke had the nerve to claim he was the best.

Nick was up next with Law who wasn’t a hidden character. Nick also played with shoulder buttons. He wasn’t able to pull out a win but he did perfect Hyke once. It was crazy. Hyke still had the nerve to claim he was the best at Tekken. If only I could play him now… Even days, weeks, months after the event he was still talking shit! After that day I taught myself to play without the shoulder buttons. It made since. Helped out later when I started to play in tourneys. I think I ended up kicking Hyke’s ass 2 years later in Tekken 4 at the Gamers Club (which was a spin off club of the Anime Club). By then he had forgotten who I was. I owned everyone that day.

Just thought I’d mention this story because I reference it in a track I’ll put out someday. Loose (Not Tight)

Any of you have habit or routine like that?

I’m a big Avatar Last Air Bender fan. I actually have my friends, Hose, Cars and I think T to thank for that. And if you don’t know about the origin of the movie, it’s based off a cartoon series on Nickelodeon.

The whole series is about Aang, the last remainning air bender and the Avatar. When an Avatar dies, he or she is reborn into the next nation in the cycle. The cycle goes Fire, Air, Water, and Earth. The Avatar is also the only one who can control or bend all four element. Each nation also has people who can bend the element of their nation. Not everyone can bend. And no one but the Avatar can bend more then one element.

Aang is found after being frozen in ice for 100 hundred years and learns that his whole nation of air benders have be killed by the fire nation who plan to take over the world. He then adventures off with the 2 water tribe kids who find him, Katara and her older brother Sokka. In all 3 seasons you get to see all the kids grow up to become strong benders and warriors. And Aang finds teachers to teach him how to bend the 3 remainning elements, water, earth and eventually fire. The whole time you have the fire nation’s banished prince, Zuko, chasing Aang. He was banished and sent by his father, the fire lord, to find and capture the Avatar if he wants to regain his honor and his place in line for the throne. Along with all this there is also lots of action with both bending and martial arts. There’s also tons of humor, mostly from Sokka, Aang and Zuko’s Uncle Iroh.

Now about the movie… get ready for some spoilers for mainly the movie and the cartoon series.

OK so the movie is based on the first season, the book of water. So this is what I expected to see:
Katara and Sokka discovering Aang which leads to meeting Zuko – Aang and company going to the Air Temple where he learns what happens and finds Momo – Maybe squeeze in Kiosho Island and get a glimpse of Suki – meeting Bumi which can probably be cut out as well – MAYBE meeting Jet  - learning about the Comet – then going to Northern Water tribe…

What actually happens is this:
Katara and Sokka find Aang. No mention of Penguin sledding, which is fine because theres only two hours to reach the end. Then Zuko shows up and finds Aang and take off, lots of changes but I think it works out to what actually happens. -
Then they go to the Southern Air Temple where they finally learn each others names and Aang finds out what happens but Aang doesn’t admit he’s the Avatar yet, oh and he finds Momo who kinda just runs up to him and thats it, no naming him on the spot, and no Avatar statues… eh okay fine. -
Then they run into Haru, or at least I think it’s Haru. He’s captured and then there’s mention of Avatar Kioshi. So I think Kioshi Island is part of the rest of the earth kingdom. Then that whole rescue the earthbenders story takes place but instead of a whole plan to sneak in and rescue the earth benders, they kinda walk in and Aang admits he’s the Avatar (finally) to give them hope then gives the whole “you’re a proud nation, now go and earth bend” speech which was originally Katara’s speech. Then we see some earth bending and fighing.  -
Then Aang has the erge to visit another air temple on his own. He leave and someone is there. He take Aang to see the Avatar statues but then he pulls a knife on him and fire nation pops out and captures him. At first I was like WTF but then it lead to the whole Blue Spirit arc, so it worked. The fighting was different but they got to the point. Then Zhao blows up Zuko’s ship. Thinking about it now it had a good flow. But at the time I thought they skipped to that part too fast. And it was so sudden. -
And finally they make it to the Northern Water Tribe where they right away explain that Sokka and Yue take a liking to eachother. This is where a lot of questions are answered at least. And Aang finally learns to water bend.
At the very end the fire lord explains to Azula about the comet and how they’re gonna use it to take over in 3 years. The End

Thats the whole movie. You don’t need to see it now because the way it was all acted out and directed was horrible. The main thing that was missing that could of made the movie 10 times better is CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Where was it? No character in the movie seem to have life in them.
Maybe a little bit of Zuko, who seemed to be mad, determined, scared and strong through out the movie. He also seems vulnerable emotionally. Which all seem to be correct. But not enough development still.
Actually I think we saw more of Zhoa and the fire lord then anyone else. Which was a waste because Zhoa dies at the end.
Uncle Iroh had no sense of humor and no weight! He seems to be kind, caring, knowledgeable and powerful, but no humor!
Aang… seemed like he had no life in him too. He wasn’t childish, he had no humor and was too serious. His whole roll seemed to be someone who was guilty and afraid to accept who he was.
Sokka did not seem like Sokka at all. He had no humor at all. Only once he cracked a joke but it only lead to the background of Yue. I don’t know… He had his boomerang at least.
And Katara. I don’t about her at all. I guess she had the heart and hope like the actually Katara. Other then that she was just blah.

The bending. Bending was there but it was there enough. And there was way too much movement to do one small bending attack. Especially with earth bending. AND at the end when Aang finally show off his Avatar powers. He does all this jumping around and kicking to bring up one huge wave. He eventually does NOTHING with the wave. And the fight with Aang and Zuko, there should of been a lot more bending in that fight. Too much movement, not enough bending. They make bending seem to rare. Fire bending was a little different in the movie. In the cartoon you can make fire out of nothing. In the movie there had to be a source of fire somewhere before you can bend. Which I’m okay with, it puts all the elements on even ground. Actually, Iroh was the only one able to make fire out of nothing and that was to scare off Zhoa after he killed the moon spirit. The only cool bending we see is all in the trailer.

Other things wrong… Roku. In the cartoon, when Aang is mediating to go off into the spirit world he usually meets up with Roku. Then Roku explains to him Avatar stuff. In the movie Aang runs into a dragon. The dragon doesn’t tell him about the comet though. I think the dragon take the place of the guru as well from the second season. I guess Aang couldn’t properly bend water because of his guilt of leaving the air temple when he was announced to be the Avatar. At the end the dragon tells him to let go of the guilt and let his emotions fun free. Like the guru. Then he was able to do that massive wave at the end. I don’t like this dragon! Roku should be there. He’s suppose to explain the past and everything to him later in the series! The dragon was never clear about what Aang should do too. Some spiritual guide he was.

Abba and Momo had almost no screen time. They really had the character development. Momo is another source of comic relief that is not prorated at all. Aang says Momo’s name once. Im not even sure if he says Abba’s name. No YIP YIP either! And there’s no interaction or any signs of emotional attachment with them either. Blah.

So after sitting through the emotion-less, undeveloped movie they introduce Azula. Kind of exciting but at the same time sounds like another waste of time. Anyways, the fire lord explains to Azula that her mission is to keep the Avatar from learning the remaining elements so that he’s not in the way when the comet comes in 3 years. It only took one year for the comet to come in the cartoon! He also explains that the comet will give fire benders the power make fire from nothing. So the comet will make fire benders REAL fire benders. And Azula look too young. I don’t know.

OH and the one big thing that bugged me. There’s a scene that inspired M. Night to make the movie. The scene where Aang air bends through a rock in mid air when they’re trying to get to that one fire temple. That scene was not in the movie.

Overall,  no character development, weak bending attempts, no humor, scenes moved too fast, and minor changes that might of seemed okay to change but could actually ruin the next two movie IF Hollywood wants to lose more money.

Like most preschool, I assume, we had story time. And this one day I think I was late or had just did something to piss off the teacher. I don’t remember what it was but I remember her being upset with me just before story time. And for story time she was going to read to us “Where The Wild Things Are” I’m sure a lot of you 80 babies remember that book. So after she read the book she asked the class some questions. One being something along the lines of what’s your favorite monster or do have anything related to monsters. So kids started raising their hands and shared whatever was on their mind. Kids were mentioning movies and toys and the teacher was complementing them for sharing. A lot of the stuff the kids mentioned almost didn’t seem relevant or related to me. Then I remember one girl said she had a Beauty and The Beast back pack an the teacher said oh good that’s nice. Then I raised my hand and said “I have a Ninja Turtle Back Pack!” Now after I heard all the BS the rest of the class mentioned I was sure my Turtle Back Pack was going to get a “oh that’s nice” or a least a “good! Anyone else?” but no. The teacher snaps at me and tells me that doesn’t count?! WTF!

I mean, mutant turtles doesn’t sound scary enough? I guess they’re not scary but they’re walking-talking turtles! I was a bit scared when I saw the first movie. Shit, I cried when I saw them in concert and they walked up to me! And you’re going to tell me that they don’t count as some type of monster?!

This day always pops into my head when I think of Where The Wild Things Are…

LOL anyways. That’s my story for today. I’ll write more stuff here in a few months from now…

And I wrote this whole blog post from my iPhone =P

So, New Years Day I went out to Fry’s Electronics to buy some new parts for my computers. Let me take a step back, I have two computers. The first is one that I built from practically scratch about 4 years ago (whoa). Hose helped me put it together. Brand new case, new monitor, new motherboard, Core 2 Duo processor, couple Gigs of RAM, eventually a new DVD burner, Multi-card reader, graphic card, the basics. But that was 4 years ago. 3 years before that I had gotten a Sony Vaio, running on a Pentium 4 I think. Gave the Vaio away to my sister after I built the new one. After 3 years, realized they weren’t evening using it, so I asked for it back. It still ran really good.

Then I bought my brother a laptop for Christmas. It was running a Core 2 Duo! Like my newest PC I built! WTF? Really? Laptops as strong as something I made?! I wasn’t having it. So I put some thought into it.  Time to rebuild. Figured I can get a new motherboard and a Core 2 Quad. And then maybe another new motherboard that would fit the Vaio and the Core 2 Quad, so it’s not going to waste. So thats what I did. New Quad Core Q8400 and two new motherboards that would fit the Duo or the Quad. Perfect. Now casting would be a lot easier and I’d feel up to date. And I’ll still have a living memory of the first PC I built inside my first good PC.

So what happens? One of the first motherboards, the big one for the Quad, didn’t wanna work. Nothing would show up on the screen. Checked over and over. Nothing. I guess it was dead on arrival. Just to be sure I tried the Quad in the small motherboard I bought for the Vaio. Worked perfectly! So it wasn’t the Processor.  So I took the big motherboard back. “On to the next one”. Bought another brand motherboard, still sealed, unlike the last which was probably the problem. And you know what, I got a picture on the screen! But Windows wouldn’t load. It was weird. Nothing in the Bios. So I did some research. Turns out that motherboard wasn’t compatible with a Q8400, but was with a E8400… WTF?! BUT if you flashed and updated the Bios it would work. So I attempted to try. But then for some reason I couldn’t get anything to appear on screen again. So I couldn’t flash the Bios. Whhhhyyyy!? So I returned that one yet again. After 4 days with out a PC, I went ahead and rebuilt the big PC, with the Duo. The Vaio got all the new parts, new motherboard and Quad processor.

So I’m still in that situation. No Quad in the big main PC. Can’t seem to find a motherboard I like.

Now I’m thinking… maybe I should buy another motherboard and processor… One of those new i7′s or something.  It’s hard to find a good LGA775 Quad Core Q8400 motherboard. Or whatever is the next step up from a Quad. Something easier to find.

Ahhhh… feels good to finally get that out of my head. LOL
